Tbh Vivi is still an incredible card! He's just too strong for standard. Honestly if FF was a straight to modern set like LotR was I doubt there would be as much trouble. (Honestly I think it should have been. UB in standard still feels weird.)

FF was confirmed to have originally been straight to modern, but they switched so early I can't believe that it's the reason Vivi is so strong. There would have been significantly more design after the switch than before.
