I was just in Chicago. I walked the streets well past midnight after the MCR show. Not only did I feel safe, everyone I talked to was so fucking kind that I almost cried when I got back to my hotel room. Everyone in my home red state area is generally cold and aloof and I'm not used to friendliness.

I dunno... I live about 10 mins from a Popeyes but the closest Jollibees from me is about 4 hours away in Chicago. Never been to Jollibees, but Popeyes beats all the other chicken places around my area. KFC, Lee's, and Chick-fil-A can't compete.
No one around me plays riichi as far as I know, I just play it in video games lol. I know there's a group of ladies at a place I frequent here in the midwestern US who play American mahjong pretty often though, so there must be some scene for that here.
Yeah. Went into a bunch of shops but most were selling stuff like anime merch, no mahjong. Friend of mine pointed me toward a fantastic teahouse though. Wish I could have had more time to browse there, too. I should learn how to play Chinese Mahjong variants better too instead of just riichi lol

One of my favorite moments playing Unstable was that my friend had his hand on the table as a token, and I took control of it before he lifted a finger off the table. I then proceeded to kill him with his own hand.
Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty may not be my #1 favorite set, but it did fully revitalize my fading interest in Magic at the time. The cards were mechanically interesting and the setting and aesthetics were a real cool balance of technology and spirituality. I can't really think of anything negative to say.
The Arch installer these days is so streamlined that you can get it going in about 10-15 minutes if you know what you're doing. I installed it manually once and that was definitely a learning curve, but a worthwhile experience. Linux doesn't like my motherboard though so I need to upgrade.

Yeah. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is a completely different story with different characters/plot/job classes/character races. It's got its flaws but it's a fantastic game. So if you haven't played the original Final Fantasy Tactics/WotL, you're in for a treat with the rerelease, it's also great.
That was a spinoff from the original. Though frankly, I'm quite fond of FF Tactics Advance and honestly prefer it to the original.

True, but a good computer can handle pretty much all your gaming needs and then some if legality doesn't matter to you. Honestly speaking I could gut my whole collection except for my Switch, Steam Deck, and desktop, and still have a solid 85-90% of my library accessible.
