Interesting that in the second shot, the screen says "TRANSLATION ERROR!", implying that CATS's dialogue literally is due to bad translation, due to the attack. The pause in "WHAT HAPPEN" before becoming "WHAT HAPPENED?" is a deliberate jab at the original. But you're right, it's awkward now.
