I dunno. DSA salivates for the blood of anyone who isn’t them, don’t they?

As far as I can tell, the DSA wants Democrats to run on enacting good policy, rather than bending over backwards to find policies palatable to Republicans and rich fuckers. The oligarchs already have a political party that looks out for their interests; they don't need two.

Try running Mamdani’s platform in any swing state and find out what happens. Jeffries is right, Mamdani is not a model for the DNC in 2026 or 2028.

We don't know what would happen if the Democrats ran on a unified message of making life easier, better, and less miserable because they haven't. We'll except for Obama which they squandered by bending to their wealthy owners. Jeffries' model cost us all the progress of the 20th century already.

"Making life easier, better, and less miserable" What does that mean specifically? You need specific proposals, not vague pronouncements.

Horseshit, People don't vote on policy, or else we wouldn't be in this mess. You run on broad concepts, such as universal taxpayer-funded healthcare. Public financing of elections. Jobs programs Infrastructure It's not like specific proposals would survive the legislative process anyway.

And then people are outraged that we get the ACA instead of single-payer and the cycle starts all over again. Vibes suck.

You know what I don't remember Democrats doing in 2009? Running on improving the ACA. Most of them were trying to distance themselves because they could not defend it without upsetting their donors. FDR got five terms because he did stuff for the people. There is a lesson there.

He got four terms and was arguably only won the fourth time because of the war. Anyway, the shellacking of the 2010 election wasn’t because the Dems didn’t run further left.

I stand corrected on the number of terms, but I don't think I'd call this close. www.270towin.com/1940-election 2010 underperformance I'd say was very much driven by a collapse of support from the base who felt betrayed by the Democrats inability to execute on Democratic priorities.

Who comprises the Democratic base?

There is no better way to get an oligarch to want something than to tell them they don't need it.

Idk Huntington. I generally salivate for the blood of a generation of consistent losers who might have cost us American democracy, but then maybe I’m wrong, let’s go nominate and elect Dianne Feinstein again
