If trump is deems unfit or impeached over this Epstein thing before 2026, JD can become president and run for two- full term. According to the 22nd Amendment, ratified in 1951, a succeeding vice-president who serves less than 2 years of a President's term is eligible to serve two full terms.
The one wrench in his plan is that everyone hates him. He needs to go full dictator or go home.
I'm not scared of JD. I think he's way too disliked to be effective. He's like the kid in class who's always reminding the teacher she forgot to assign the homework. If he rises up one day and shoots the teacher, the rest of the class will not cheer and let him take over.

Jan 21, 2027. A VP has to have less than 2 years remaining in the their term and cannot serve as President more than 10 years total. So 1 year, 364 days of rising to President plus two potential elected terms. One day shy of 10 years.
So the key word is “remaining”.
