What were "they" even mad about?

The problem is, it all got collated with sth else, where people were rude to Michael and he blocked them. He didn't block for them calling to him to perform like some monkey and say 'the right words' or else he's a Zionist. I wasn't there, but @imogell.bsky.social tried to explain it to me once.

I think I said the same tbh? It all boiled down to them being hysterically terrible and him doing the thing any sensible human being would do, which only made it all worse and them more aggressive

Yeah. I'm just saying there was something else too. And people who still hate MS for something he did not say nor do, claim he blocked people because he refused to listen and be 'educated', rather than he blocked people because they were complete assholes to him.

Ah yeah The thing a lot of these people overlooked was that Michael's tweets were in support of an MP who had recently been suspended for saying "from the river to the sea", a widely known pro-palestine statement. People just wanted to be angry and twist it— call him out. He is a UNICEF ambassador.

He helps fund aid for families over there. Calling his statements neutral and therefore zionist was very narrow-minded. He blocked people calling for him to educate himself and calling him a grandpa. Aka out of touch... it was a wild time. Haters now latch on to the story of one person... cont

Being blocked for 'simply saying "oh no"'. That wasn't the full story. She had been retweeting, liking, and posting hateful comments like the ones above and he has eyes. Exercising his right to block them. Trying to remember other things that happened. He has had kids try to cancel him before this

...Such a shame, really. We know Michael is a living, breathing earth-angel. He didn't deserve such vitriol and neither did his friends and partner ❤️ I doubt he'll be back like he was. At least for a while. It's been 2 years... 💔 and honestly, it's for the best. They don't deserve his generosity.
