Biden did do some good things. Had he not insisted on attempting to run a second time (bit of a betrayal of his "transition" stance, I thought), we might be in a less bad place. The problem I have is that even when we do vote in Dems, they generally worry more about donors than constiuents.

And this is not ALL - we have some young up-and-comers we'd like to see given more of a voice, but when the party leadership spends more to make one of their own look bad rather than stopping to consider WHY that person is doing well, then that just feels like entrenched fossils unwilling to adapt.

I WANT the dems to do well, and to adapt and change. I want them to be an actual left party. I want them to stand up for what they believe in, so we can actually get behind them. I'm tired of the old guard, same old messages, same old nothing. Lets get some youth and some energy out there.

And if you bothered to read that whole rant, thanks! Actually rather enjoy this discussion, and hope you've no ill will toward it, as I have none to you!

Go for it. This old relic thinks it’s long past time for you all to start doing the work.

LOL I'm nearly 50, I ain't a young 'un. I'm excited when I do see the youth doing the work, but that don't excuse us old farts.

I would be excited if I saw it.

Maybe you're looking in the wrong spots. I see it in my kids, and their peer group. I see it in protests and pride. I see it in the campaign volunteers for candidates they are excited for. It's there, but it is tough to get past a giant machine that runs on money.

What’s your proof? Easy to say but don’t think it’s true for most Dems.

Look at how polling goes for universal healthcare! The people want it, but almost none of them really push it! Look at the cabinet confirmations - why are we letting these people breeze in? Look at the genocide issue - the party didn't embrace what the base wanted, and here we are!

And it's pretty hard to *prove*, but it sure holds up if you consider most of their actions in that way - please the donors and occasionally throw a sop to the base.
