Whist I agree we did not try to win this game, we tried to not loose. This is about tactical intent and until we sort that out over a season nothing will change. What really hurts us is the same mentality against lesser teams where get a lead and hang on only to concede. This isn’t about players

They were on b4 the goal but Liverpool had already got on top. Im not down playing that weve been beaten by a freak goal/bit of skill but it was even at 60 minutes we couldve taken the initiative and we didnt. We let them take control & after the moment of brilliance we were left with too much to do
We had not had a single shot on target to that point. That is the problem. Our obsession is with possession and control rather than shots and goals.

To try and turn the tide because Liverpool grew into the game. My issue is that we chose no midfielders from the outset who can turn and run, pass and move, against a team who themselves are wide open. It was a bizarrely slow tempo game and I think that was our plan, I just don’t agree with it.
Definitely see where you're coming from but I think that when we're away vs the champions who love a basketball match AND we know one of our key defenders isn't match fit, it's suicide to start off gung-ho.
