Prince Aziraphale has no interest in his impending arranged marriage to some princess he's never met, so he decides to make a run for it. At a pub in the nearest port town, he overhears a man (apparently a ship captain?) lamenting the loss of his navigator (and the incompetence of the poor sod who
was abruptly promoted into the position). Aziraphale slides the barkeep some coin, and asks what he knows about that lanky redhead over there. "Ah, that would be Captain Crowley, though most just know him as The Serpent. Fearsome bugger, wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of his cannons, but his
crew seems to be loyal to him anyways. Probably afraid of what would happen to themselves if they tried to leave. He uh, doesn't work for the crown, if ya catch my meaning." "Very good. I'll take two of whatever he's drinking. Oh, and if anyone asks, you've not seen anyone matching my description,"
