In my professional capacity, I cannot emphasize enough how much an alien spacecraft nearly 7 miles wide headed towards Earth is not happening.

it's a big universe and we can hardly see any of it, how can you be sure?
Hubble flow limits the volume in which anything could be said to be headed towards Earth.
Damn shame about that. It could have been a good start for a Heavens Gate revival! #SpaceAliens&PoisonYogurt www.heavensgate.com
Of all the things which are not happening, this is not happening the most.
Sure, it looks like a comet, but the coma *could* be camouflage. Thrust required to invade Earth would be visible, but they *might* have reactionless drives. Sure the approach vector is bonkers, but the pet dragon on board *might* have distracted the aliens. Gotta keep an open mind doood!
Im somewhat disappointed. I figured that an alien space craft or an asteroid hit were the best chances for dealing with everything else going on in the world. (Read Trump). Sadly, I'm left cheering for the asteroid.
Wait...wait...I know this one!!!
Dammit… I posted then, then saw you also posted it. I thought I found the perfect gif too.
Great minds think alike!!!
So you're saying it's nearly 8 miles wide?
checkmate.
"A new study claims" Which study? Not mentioned? Has it been peer-reviewed? No? Is it likely? No? I have questions.
