Usually with momentum fed by university students. In US unis seem to be very quiet right now.
Those examples are riots and revolutions *after* decades of autocracy and dictatorship and abuses, when people had nothing else to loose. And not all of them were successful (see Turkey) American democrats still believe the checks and balances will prevail. And that's how democracies die.
