SM/CU leaves us as rule takers thereby making Brexit pointless and making us look ridiculous, every time they suggest any changes the media rip them a new one and PR will give Farage some power. Not so simple

You are already rule takers 😄. UK is now docilely following EU rules and standards because EU is the very dominant regional power. It is really hard to think of anything UK is doing differently because of "Brexit freedoms". Oh except being a lot poorer - oh and importing unchecked food and goods.

You appear to know very little. We literally have divergence on the illegal Trump tariffs. Not that this is a good thing as this is a consequence of the stupid Brexit and the fragmentation of the EU market (including UK)

We are literally following EU standards, because in practice we have no choice with the EU as our close neighbour and main trading partner. Brexiters don't know this or understand it.

This is my point exactly. Rationale says we should be members of the EU but we aren't in a rational country anymore. It's why we can't have the Brexit argument.
