First signs of light, early morning sad walk, wonderful wife in hospice, final stage dementia, so empty now, Spring Mountains, Pahrump, Nevada. We arrived 7 years ago, so happy, early memory loss present, but over time, dementia has destroyed her.

Through the grief I feel, on this morning walk it dawned on me that I need to let her go. I still love her. She struggles on in the void, but I need to let her go on to her final peace. It is her time. She doesn’t need to struggle on for me.

I’ll be thinking of you and your wife. Loss and grief are so hard to deal with. I’ve had to bury my son (only child) and his father within the last 6 or so years. Moving on without them has been a tough journey. Feel free to message me any time you like.
