She’s been in hospice since mid June. Her world is shrinking to our living room with hospital bed. I still can get her to restroom, most times. I feel so lost, empty, broken hearted. She has seen an angel recently.

I’m deep into pre grieving with lovely wife in hospice with last stage dementia, not a good time here. But, Trump still manages to irritate the hell out of me with the little time I have to follow news.
Very appropriate, I am finding courage to face living in this beautiful house my wife and I loved so much without her here.

Yes, but we’re getting to the end. Recently I get that vacant stare when I tell her I love her. I held her close this morning and told her if she needs to go on and find peace, I understand, love her, and will follow her one day.
I know you know how heart wrenching dementia and then death is…thank you for your caring comment, I need all the support I can gather to keep going…running on empty after caregiving 5 years, and now is harder than ever.

Through the grief I feel, on this morning walk it dawned on me that I need to let her go. I still love her. She struggles on in the void, but I need to let her go on to her final peace. It is her time. She doesn’t need to struggle on for me.

Husband cooking for 5 years with wonderful wife ravaged by dementia, I understand the joy….but, she loves to get the tons of containers, separate lids, and place around the house….I hoard and hide several for use….

I keep trying to keep her safe and comfortable. I did show anger this morning, hate that I did, try not to, but sometimes a situation is so taxing. Think I am burned out, but know my care will not be needed in the not too distant future. Crying again…..

I’m lucky, my dementia ravaged wife has never been abusive. Sometimes I can’t get her to do what I think necessary, but never has she shown anger at me. Running on empty anymore, but love and duty calls..hospice, the end is not far off, I cry a lot.

I do worry about young people’s situation with global warming, income and wealth inequality. Seems the powers only worry about power and preservation of their wealth, not what’s good for the people or the country. I tip like crazy knowing many people live on the brink of disaster….I’m fortunate.

Moved to southern Nevada on retirement 7 years ago; yes, broiler heat for 3 months, but no snow to shovel, no extended cold, freezing spells, nice to walk on a January day with 65 to 70 degree temperatures….the future? I’ll be dead soon and hence don’t worry about that and where I live.
The son of a bitch is a lot more warped than we even imagined….

Great T shirt. I became nonbeliever over time, but caring for wife ravaged by dementia has revived a longing for spirituality and I am living along that line. Hospice produces many situations of wondering what the universe and human life really mean and where it evolves….
Thank goodness there are some kind hearted humans left….
Doubt if that works in most cases. I don’t want my wife away from home, I owe it to her to care well for her, whether or not she’s a pain in the ass at that moment…I am living her decline with her. Don’t want her out of sight and mind.

Caring for wife with dementia thought I missed Perseid, walked at 3 a.m. in Pahrump, Nevada, west on Winery Rd and was treated to one bright meteor proceeding east to west over me about 2 weeks ago.
To put it bluntly, the guys I served with during the Viet Nam War wouldn’t piss on Hegseth if he were on fire….

85 degrees on early morning walk, monsoon moisture has arrived in the Pahrump, Valley.
Don’t know the name of this wild flower that grows around Pahrump, Nevada. They survive high 20’s temperatures in late December, early January, occasional light snow, temperatures to 116 in summer, and get about 6 inches of rain.
In his warped mind he probably thinks he gets a broker fee for imposing the tariffs which are deposited, hopefully, with the U.S. Treasury…. Money’s flying by, I arranged it, I get a cut……
