I think diseases would have still been a factor no? Still a lot of gold to mine still had armor n steel It would have been different if so I just thought after the dark ages it took a long time to get to the enlightenment which started off with old Greek Roman n Arabic work were it could have been

That’s the thing. The church didn’t create a Dark Age in most of Europe. The fall of Rome created a Dark Age in Britain which was already poorly represented by Rome anyway. There is no Italian medieval dark age, nor is there a Spanish or French Dark Age, let alone a Greek or Egyptian Dark Age.

Not dark age per se, but the church still went through and destroyed like a lot of ancient texts. Or what we would consider today, ancient texts And yeah I mean I Greece n Egypt are obviously different But they aren't really on the atlantic like that
