Every now and then I think of a comic I saw once about the clusterfuck that was the year 2020. Of course, they went and personified 2020 as a little cartoon figure, and when it said, “This wasn’t how I meant to be remembered,” looking all distressed and sad about it, I FELT SO BAD. Still do!
That’s funny and so analogous to the sad loaf of bread. I guess I’m not the only one who could never discard my old teddy bears. Life is hard when empathy extends to fabric.
(Poor little 2020! It wasn’t your fault! You should have gotten to be a banner year for optometrists, and everything would have been fine!)
