Level one charging isn't bad to get through waiting for professional L2 installation at home. That's what we did. Just plug in at all hours. Also look for L3 chargers, that would get you out of a bind between needing to get somewhere further, and not leaving a car somewhere overnight on L2.

My commute might be a touch far for level 1 charging, but I can make it work one way or another. Certainly not stopping me from going EV, but these are the sort of things that hurt wider adoption.

You might be able to get creative and charge at a work parking lot on L1, and grab 8+hours. Its basically just a game of always trying to throw some charge in when you can, while doing something else.
