As a sea and seafood lover, it pains me to say this. I’ve shied away from raw oysters. There’s too much pollution, warming water etc for me.

If you’re allergic to shellfish, of course you shouldn’t eat them. But what happened to those 6 people was not an allergy to shellfish.

I thought it was because they taste of nothing with a disgusting texture. Tried them. Won't be repeating the experience.

It mostly happens if the Oysters are consumed raw or under cooked. People just need to do a better job of prepping them for consumption.
