did you get to see Sunset in theaters for its anniversary?!?
did you get to see Sunset in theaters for its anniversary?!?
I didn’t. It wasn’t playing where I live.
me neither 😞 but at least you got to rewatch this classic!
Did you go see Sunset Boulevard in the theater?
Nope it wasn’t playing where I live
That’s too bad. I got to see it near me and it was my first time seeing it. I loved it!
Maybe I’ll catch it for its 80th anniversary 🤣
😂
Ooo slumber party massacre! Go on to Love Letters with Jamie Lee Curtis now! It’s interesting to see a writer/director do such a wild change in genre from one film to the next.
Added to my watchlist!
Diabolique is INCREDIBLE
That is a hell of a lineup.
I picked good this week! 🙂
Sunset Blvd and Diabolique? Nice! Who was your favorite character in Sunset Blvd?
Norma Desmond, obviously! 😊
Wasn't sure if you were a Max von Mayerling or Betty Schaefer fan. 🫠
Everyone is great and Billy Wilder is a top 5 favorite director for me.
Oh hell yeah. What's your favorite Wilder film? I like Double Indemnity and Sunset Blvd the most. Was supposed to see Sunset Blvd in theaters back in June but my kid got me sick. Also I'm curious about seeing Sunet Blvd on Broadway. I've been meaning to do a Lost Weekend rewatch as well.
Double Indemnity is probably my favorite then Sunset Boulevard. Both are pretty perfect films imo.
Yeah those're my top two.
Sunset is my fave, but I feel like Witness for the Prosecution is his most underrated.
Have you seen Ace in the Hole? I think it’s great and is so relevant still today.
I watched it once but need to rewatch it. I was watching on like PLEX so there were commercials and I watched it right after The Deer Hunter so I wasn't 100% invested. Ace in the Hole is another thing that is on Broadway that I heard was great.
I remember thinking Douglas was perfect though.
great call
Diabolique is so good.
Sooo good I was hooked from start to finish.
Diabolique and Sunset Boulevard -- two of my favs!!
Yep! Both are so damn good.
That was super shocking!

I really liked it. Was hooked the entire run time.
