I started building time into my daily routine for reading because I found I would default to tv or movies and now I’ll often pick up a book instead. It ebbs and flows tho based on my mood!
The Carpool Detectives was the best book I read in August. Everything else was good but nothing really stood out for me. Murderland was interesting, but I didn’t think the author really pulled both narratives together in a satisfying way. #fable #readingwrap #nowreading

I saw them laying their eggs in Costa Rica which was super cool
No one bothered them and there were folks from the sea turtle conservation group there monitoring
I’m not sure….but wouldn’t be surprised.
They’re just making sure they get to the ocean and predators don’t attack. No one touched them or interfered with their journey.

YES! I only recently discovered it - super glad I gave it a watch. We need more romantic dramadies with diverse perspectives.
I thought it was fun. It is a bit long and some of the storylines don’t work all that well, but it is a shaggy, 70s hangout film. Clint is super charming and you just want hang out with him and have an adventure.

We don’t want our neighborhoods destroyed, so we fight every day against people who reject the obvious.
A girl’s dad goes missing from the beach they were at and it spans decades of their family story both before and after his disappearance. It’s much more drama than mystery or thriller. While not similar in structure, has similar themes to Pachinko - which IMO is a much better book.

I rewatched Rocky last year and was surprised by how good it is.

I’ve seen it a ton of times but it had been probably 10 years since I last watched it. I think it holds up well and is pretty damn funny. LMK if you like it!
I definitely think it probably played way better when it was released. Definitely one that doesn’t hold up for me today. I found it boring and offensive.
