Well for one look at how often the U.S. Ambassador Pete Hoekstra, who has a record of disinformation & interference, is in front of our media & pay attention to what he's saying. He's lying, stirring discord & not strengthening bilateral relations like his job entails.
Besides this, diversify your news sources. Not only in our country. When you have a global picture, things make more sense. I'm a former reporter. In the morning I listen to news briefings on my device then dig into the stories that catch my interest on my own later.

Good job!! And we have to ask these questions to our media, as publicly as we can. I need to be more annoying to the media & politicians than I am but admit, I am fatigued feeling powerless & not listened to. My location & health don't help much.
Should we petition for his removal? Would it do any good? After what's happened in the U.S. I find myself questioning what course of action & control we have over things & how we ensure we don't end up like the U.S. I want more accountability.
I'm still pissed at Elections Canada brushing many of us off who brought up concerns over interference & didn't have adequate mechanisms in place to deal with disinformation & interference.
