America is also just plain less violent than it used to be. I could walk into basically any non-nazi bar even in a Trump+50 area and shittalk him, and I'll likely only end up refused service. Not beaten to death. Bar brawls aren't really a thing anymore.

I think it also matters that a large base of their support was actual young people with the vitality and time to do something, not early retirees with 4 chronic health conditions
This is why the Gen Z swing towards Trump was alarming, but he's handled having power so stupidly that it's basically over. Trump 1 made millennials politically more left than anything we've ever seen, I think Trump 2 will do the same to Gen Z

Yes, and they were drifting slowly rightward the same as previous generations. However, during the first Trump administration, they rocketed like 20 points leftward and quit drifting right for several years.
