I'm so sorry. Give him all of your love and attention every moment that you can. I still miss my Rusty and even though his countdown was over a year long- his hospice care was a tough five months of almost constant fussing and cleaning up messes, medicine, etc. Do your Very Best for your baby dog.
Rusty was my sweet boy- he became very easy going his 15th year of life. Slept a lot. He became whacky his 14th year; he would spread eagle fly into the pond when I sat close by with the other dogs for peaceful moments. This lead to having to get in to get him out and dry him off each time.

Yes they certainly are the absolute best! I always appreciate their support when it's time for cuddle duty.

He slept all day - then woke up for dinner, barked at a deer walking past the window, flung his toy around for a few minutes & now he’s ready for bed. He’s such a good boy. 🩵
What a very good boy. That deer better just keep on walking. A nap after playing and barking to protect the family sounds quite justified.
22 hours of sleeping - some barks at deer & snacks in the waking hours. A good senior dog day! 🩵
