#MediterraneanDiet is from the Mediterranean Culture so expecting it be adapted to Mexican culture is a lot. But so many more people would stick to this life saving way of eating if it were. I've found Vegan adaptations of Tex-Mex so this idea could potentially work. For the Highest Good for All!

I cooked a large batch of posole on Sunday which now competes with the wild caught Salmon & salad I bought last night. With cultural inclusion more Latino communities would surely embrace the #MediterraneanDiet.
It also needs to be attainable & sustainable for lower socioeconomic inclusion. Eg: New Mexican posole is hominy, a small amount of very lean chicken or pork and spices. (with Red or green chili) Posole is served topped with greens like sliced radishes, cilantro etc. And a sprinkle of cheeze.

Aww. That's actually quite true. Sasha earned an actual Diploma- she's well educated in the qualities of a good citizen canine companion. It took us nearly a year to pass each tier of her training while I was also caring for my Mom. Sasha earned her Good Citizen diploma including treadmill walking!

I'm a living example of the damage that comes to family caregivers. Dementia eldercare done at home for my Grandma & my Mom totaling twelve years of the hardest work of my life. Deep in debt, alone, still recovering three years later, with no regrets about sacrificing everything to keep them safe.
Summertime adventures are the best. They look incredibly happy trotting along together. Followed by cold fresh water and air conditioning for everyone. Whew!

Rusty was my sweet boy- he became very easy going his 15th year of life. Slept a lot. He became whacky his 14th year; he would spread eagle fly into the pond when I sat close by with the other dogs for peaceful moments. This lead to having to get in to get him out and dry him off each time.
I'm so sorry. Give him all of your love and attention every moment that you can. I still miss my Rusty and even though his countdown was over a year long- his hospice care was a tough five months of almost constant fussing and cleaning up messes, medicine, etc. Do your Very Best for your baby dog.

The oracle would go into moaning, groaning and screaming before "they" all rushed to the tiny monastery at dawn- right next to my dorm room. The whole crew always rushed over to hear his predictions. They would put him in an ancient outfit and assist as he spoke extinct languages. Scary as frik'.

P.S. Drying the clothes is a problem in the Winter though. When living at the foot of the Himalayas I borrowed a bucket heating coil to bathe once a week- my hair would freeze solid walking back to my room. HH the Dalai Lama's oracle would go into trance nextdoor- terrifying nightime sounds.

With my washing machine down I just went to the laundromat after years of not having to go there. Newer very large machines meant less time to get it all done but it wasn't cheap. In North India, foreigners soak laundry in a bucket w soap until it's time to hand wash everything. #runningWater
