Of course, I feel terrible for all the public servants that are currently suffering because of what our electorate chose to do to you, but I am also very nervous that all this turmoil is going to make the federal workforce become even more rightwing as even more liberals may forswear public service.

I don’t want to do a “they can’t do that” take because they have proven they do what they want bc the law doesn’t apply to them AND this would be very illegal to do in a lot of states with some exceptions but gotta be in a signed handbook etc most times.
What indebtedness? If you worked at your job, then you need to be paid, whether the firing is retroactive or not.
