Having well water that comes directly from an aquifer, it's something I'm acutely aware of every day. I looked it up a while back, and closer to the coast, the drain from the aquifer is causing the land to subside as the sea levels rise, so it's a double whammy.
So sorry but it’s always going to be very contentious, to say the least, to try to get water from Canada.
imho that's the reason, cities on the Philippines and in Indonesia started sinking, isn't it?
