I get your scepticism, but nuclear power gen today is not at all like the big generators of yore. They are much smaller, less impactful environmentally & faster to build. And they reuse their own nuclear waste, so waste storage is no longer such an issue. Overall, they’re extremely efficient.
I get that Deborah, I don't know where you are in Canada but if you are in Alberta you will know that the UCP is poisoning our water with mining on the eastern slopes of the Rockies & they ignored tailing pond leaks from the oil sands for years They can't be trusted to protect us or the environment
