That's a fair criticism, but you see the difference between disagreeing with it and saying it's not serious? The first is rational engagement. The second is invalidation.

I enjoy and employ a good thought experiment. I would have opened by recognizing the absurdity of the situation instead of claiming it to be a serious one.
