The way Alastor insults Lucifer is by insulting Lucifer decor by saying the bar adds color and calling him short and he insults Lucifer’s parenting skills even though he knew it would bother him he wasn’t wrong Lucifer is still a dead beat dad but there might be reasons (Lilith)
Let’s also not forget Alastor doesn’t like people of power and maybe there’s personal reasons because Al is creole and he most likely had a hard life because of people of power so deer boy has TRAUMA. Alastor is use to being undermined, Mimzy said people wanted to dismiss him-
And if you also notice in episode 5 as I said Lucifer belittles Alastor and tells Charlie “who needs him because I’m better because I’m thinking and your dad.” Don’t wouldn’t suprise me if Lucifer wants to take Alastor’s place and just tease him as bonus and take it too far.
Also Alastor always wants to prove his usefulness in episode 5 when reminding Charlie what he’s done for her and later, when husk confronts him he says he can handle it, and later says it’s time I remind everyone why I’m here and maybe he meant at the hotel and not Hell? Anyways-
Lucifer does have reasons to not trust alastor which is fair especially because of his deal with Charlie but I think Lucifer has a bias towards sinners and we don’t know how much his pov has changed. Alastor also has reasons to not like Lucifer which is probably rooted by Trauma.
Lucifer 100% has a bias to dislike Sinners! He considers them a disappointment canonically. "They got gifted free will and look what they did with it!" "It doesn't matter how well-intentioned you are, they're always going to disappoint you."
So many people in this fandom forget that Lucifer don't give a shit about sinners. He got hellborn immunity from Exterminations, but gladly throw sinners away like nothing. It's CLEAR that Luci hates them and sees them as failures. I just wish the fandom wouldn't gloss over it all the time...
Also technically hellborns were bron there so exterminating them for no reason is really unfair. Luci believes that its their own fault if they are here.
