That's a great photo, Wolfgang. There must be some haze in the air. The highlights are giving this luminosity glow that almost makes it look like it's an IR photo.

Thank you 😎 The wind does tend to pick up great draughts of ice crystals from the coated peaks, and shoots them off like spindrifts in the sky. It can be gale-force up there, yet you don’t feel the slightest breeze down below 🍻 It was -20C down below - God only knows what it was up there!
Sounds like my kind of place!
All the brass monkeys sing soprano 😜 Lot of heli skiing in the area - those guys are clinically insane, but one of these days I’d like to book a ride and just bring cameras (no skis)
That sounds like a great time (the helicopter photography, not the heli skiing)! I'm from North Dakota, so I actually like the cold.
Oh, you guys probably get some of that -40 (where Celsius and Fahrenheit meet). That’d be east of the Great Divide; west of it, it’s really rare to get that chilly. Not usually a lot of wind in the mountains, unless you’re up top. Just talking about it makes me wish summer was over…
