Villa are a good example of why the financial regulations are garbage. They can spend more but probably wouldn't go totally insane. And yet they still can't. Unai might as well be back in Spain, still unable to spend, but living a nicer lifestyle.

The short-termism and greed of the PL is going to destroy it eventually. I can only hope that it's sooner rather than later. A new system where League 2 clubs have as big a say in the rules as EPL clubs is the only fair way.

Well, I think American ownership in the PL is over 50% now so there'll be people voting and having say in things, but those things won't be for the greater good!
