I used to keep a short tow chain and hooks for towing of course. I will neither deny nor confirm anything lol.
However one chooses to arm oneself, please just DO IT. It may be very necessary before too much more time.

I carry a crowbar under my seat for that. But thanks for the tip, it tracks!

Good tip. I always have a fishing license tucked in my daypack next to my .45 for the same reason. You never know when you are going to run into a berserk salmon.
That's good advice, those salmon can get a bit rowdy in the boat. It especially useful if you're fishing for sturgeon.
in Oregon, you don't fish for sturgeon, sturgeon fish for you.
I thought the sturgeon were the fishing guide you got to take home. Tucker it out pulling your boat around, and take it home for a meal. ๐
Retired plumber here. I always had galvanized pipe and other stuff on the truck. Nobody would ever question it.
Perfect. No way were you looking for trouble.
I never have, but I believe that the best way to avoid it is to be ready for it.
I'm a lover not a fighter but, being ready is the ticket.
I have a โtire checkerโ. Says right on the handle.
