It really, really is. Third party candidates are part of the terrain in every presidential election of the last half century, that did not pose any uniquely difficult challenge to Harris. Yes it was extraordinary in the way the Dems completely ate shit and failed.

Harris got 75,019,000 votes Trump got 77,300,000 votes Stein got 1,457,000 votes Harris could have gotten steins entire voter base and still lost the popular vote. Because she was the worst performing dem candidate in half a century.

You act like I just blame stein. I do not. And given that Harris won 77,000,000 she is not even close to the worst

How does that make her a failed candidate? Especially when she only had six months to run her campaign?

Her having only 6 months (thanks to the king of moderate Dems behaving like the power-lusting ghoul he was) absolutely contributed to her campaign failing miserably, yeah. “How does that make her a failed candidate” it doesn’t. The failed candidacy makes her a failed candidate.

Sounds like circumstances outside of her control.

She had literally 4 years to call for Biden to step down from the 2024 campaign, she didn’t.

His approval ratings were underwater. It wasn’t political suicide for Pelosi. Meanwhile Harris did the opposite, cleaving to Biden long after he stepped down. In a June 2024 ABC interview when asked what she’d do different from Biden on Gaza she said quote: “umm I can’t think of anything”

lol if you just wanna take total votes irrespective of turnout or population as evidence of success, that’d make Donald Trump ~2000x “more successful” than George Washington, who ran unopposed.
