That’s why these fascist movements take hold so easily. If you can just convince someone already frustrated by society to turn off that instinct towards truth, and reveal to them the joy and comfort of just saying whatever the fuck they want and not caring, that’s probably fucking intoxicating.
Imagine how good it would feel to just, not give a fuck about anything but aesthetics and spectacle.
So yeah like, it’s both. The history and material conditions and stuff brings about the movement, but it especially attracts people who are already thinking that way (hence nihilist troll site 4chan becoming the biggest nazi hub on the internet for a long time)
And once you’re indoctrinated, yeah it reinforces a dogshit personality and moral philosophy.
