I've mostly seen people lampooning them for being anti trans, though Buteggegg had most of his quote cut for the headlines and probably isn't that bad. Not exciting though.

Did he say more than that leagues should decide who is qualified to compete in sports? Like it was before the current madness? I didn't attain the full transcript since I'm probably never voting for him anyway. Newsom is a Starmer level total cluster fuck though.

I don’t like his insinuations that it’s a complicated issue because it’s not. It’s a non-issue really. Giving credence to this culture war issue is just blatantly throwing people under the bus and moving the Overton window right IMO

Yeah, he definitely needs some media coaching on it. For me it was more how he said it than what he said, a mistake professional politicians shouldn't make but I make all the time. I appreciate his wonkyness on infrastructure but hopefully the Dems find someone with more fire.
