i've kinda decided that *if* i do it i would actually go back for mathematics, or applied mathematics, or further studies in engineering. really just the more i learn i feel like i'd to *learn* infinite history but not become that type of scholar as a life path

They do like to make academia sound like being sent to the Colosseum to face the lions. It is always publish _and_ perish in the end anyway. Though I guess if you publish something important enough they will give you immortality in statue or a hall or something.
