It frosts my cookies when a filmmaker scours Letterboxd & smugly comments on less than stellar reviews. Not everyone will connect with your labor of love. Stop seeking out the negative. You’re not gonna change anyone’s mind with a shitty “well uh actually.”

A negative comment about your work, if articulated fairly, can be extremely useful! The best notes I ever received were incredibly harsh and really hurt because I knew they were right! It may not be good for the ego but you'll be a better filmmaker for it.
Honestly hadn’t even considered this aspect of it, but you’re right.
Perhaps I'm a bit masochistic, but it's more important that you tell me what I got wrong than what I got right.
