Plus, can we get 5 minutes of Kennedy usage post-construction before tanks rip it up?

I heard that Sheridan road is the tank route from Great Lakes into Chicago, but wikipedia doesn't confirm that so it might be an urban legend.
I don't see tanks making it through the ravines on Sheridan.
Came to post the exact same thing. No way no how.
Where are the ravines? I mostly take it from Rogers Park to Evanston.
Winnetka north to the border with Glencoe
The house in Ferris Bueller (where the Ferrari takes a nose dive) is around there. youtu.be/7gZwv3_2qmo?... maps.app.goo.gl/LK5ckh9xrdZT...
Thanks for posting that! I haven't been thru there for decades.
Highland Park-ish
Thus the name, Ravinia. Ravine-ia!

How do they get under the L tracks at loyola ?
Good point - what I heard actually is that that was why Sheridan road was built, and I think the L tracks were built later, but I also do not know how tall a tank is TBH!
Per googling. The viaduct clearance is 12 feet. Tanks are 8-12 feet. Soooooo. Maybe it will be ok? They grease it up reeeealll good.
Iconic truck stuck under the underpass aint nothing compared to tank stuck under the L tracks.
Had to deal with three trucks stuck under the Metra tracks in three commutes on North Ave this cuts deep
No one knows the terror. There are sooooo many bridges!
there’s just no way Evanston homeowners would put up with tanks at stop signs on Sheridan
The road closures at the top of the Drive seem to still be in effect, so they can get in that way, but won't enjoy trying to get out
BlockClub just pushed an update on the closures. Uh, CDOT, maybe slowwalk this baby.
lol
Is there ever really such a thing as post construction around here?
