Doc Severinsen really threw himself into it he must have had respect for the lads, and the faster tempo is more suited to the song than that of the album version. John's reaction at the end shows such respect he obviously enjoyed the collaboration

Me too. Sucker for bands getting a big band to support them. I saw Beck at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year with a full orchestra. Blew my mind that they met and rehearsed the set list *that afternoon*
