I'm fractionally less pessimistic. Putin's paranoid anti-westernism prevented him capitalising on the full gift of Trump's idiocy early on, and the shift to frustration from White House seemed real, albeit very shallow. Trump ultimately always tlits to Putin, but there is hope of getting a wedge in.

Big day for Lords reform. The amendment to reduce the size of the Lords is a great idea (it’s currently the biggest legislative chamber in the world apart from China’s National People’s Congress) but proper Lords never seems to happen.
