Can a ragtag crew of “heroes” on the run from the Splugorth hold the line… or will their clocks run out first? 🎲
Love the 4 monitor setup and Rifts to be clear
Rifts is a system I really want to like. The setting is so OTT, it’s just let down by the clunky rules and being able to turn someone to jelly if they can’t take Mega damage. God, even the phrase Mega damage is full on 90s.
I like the game quite a bit since the first time I played it high school. I love MDC and now it’s implemented for several reasons. One of which is jt makes a potential very combat heavy system deadly & frequently leads to players planning more. Most of the nine players have never played before.
I’ve watched them adjust their game play and really seem to jazz with it.
I still have all of my books from back when they came out. I do have a huge soft spot for it still. I just found one or two of the characters to be so underpowered they felt useless. I agree they need to plan more to be safe, which makes it interesting. Just so easy to squish.
I should try breaking it out again at some point. I ran a very long campaign in the 90s with the group just roaming through wastelands being chased by coalition deadboys and fighting vampires.
