they do also teach this in the UK but not to everyone it's kept for the Proper People at private schools and universities the masses have already been assumed to be irredeemable

The philosophy I learned studying physics was centuries ahead of the philosophy that people learn studying the classical humanities. It makes a big difference when ideas have to actually work in practice rather than just in theory.
