This is what happens when there’s no accountability to the community.
Some people can't help but abuse whatever power they are given. With sometimes tragic consequences.
D.C people get chased for tinted windows now??? WTAF???
Stupider and stupider
This not correcting posts drives me crazy. …… Cases or chases?? Copy delete paste correct repost
You mean cases or chases? I’m thinking ’chases’.
Judge: Why were you speeding away? Defendant: Some scary looking guys wearing masks in blacked out vans with no plates were chasing me.
this is insane because all of the federal “police” cars I have seen have tinted windows…
Funny how they all seem to be on the east side of DC. I guess tinted windows are just fine in the northwest for some reason.
My first thought too.
Pretextual 'papers please' stops.
Why do the ICE kidnapping squads wear masks?
Thanks for sharing. 🇺🇸
"odor of burned marijuana" If they're smoking enough pot that you can smell it in your police cruiser, they're not engaging in a high speed chase with you
As a reminder, DC apparently has the worst traffic congestion in the country. People will get hurt.
My state has actually banned "pretextual" police stops for things like expired tags, burnt-out taillights, tinted windows, etc. (Now, if they're nicking you for something else, those can go on the ticket - but if it's the sole pretext for the stop, it'll get tossed.)
Cases or chases?
I just wrote that. This not correcting posts drives me crazy. ……
In 1989 my friend was killed coming home from a concert due to state police chasing a stolen car the wrong way on the MA Turnpike Car chases are bad policy and endanger innocent people
Sorry and infuriated
They'd never catch Jim Rockford. Also, Rockford would fucking hate ICE, just saying....
Oh lord taking the gloves off the park police is very bad news
We will kill as many civilians as it takes to make you safe.
Philly police don't do chases any more since an entire family of pedestrians (mom, dad, baby in stroller) were run over and killed by one of the cars involved in a police chase, sometime around 1990. Let's hope the Feds change their policy before that happens in DC.
I believe in hard prosecution of officers who get off high speed chasing and cause injuries or deaths
Is "drove around detectives" even a crime?
It was short for “drove around detectives while black”
📌
“Odor of burned marijuana”. Which is, you’ll note, legal in DC.
Expired tags certainly warrants risking innocent lives 🙄
Plus since it was “hot pursuit” they have no liability for any damage/injuries they cause. It’s basically a chance to play Need 4 Speed in real life.
