We’re not a very worldly people here in the USA—23% of our population has never left the country; another 50% has only visited 1-4 countries; and only 11% percent of us has traveled to 10 or more countries. (Off the top of my head, I’ve been to at least 15, and I have ambitions to double that.)

What do you call someone who speaks only one language? An American.

I’d wager this is a function of the relative geography of the US va Europe. If travel to different states in the US (comparable sizes to European countries) counted, I’d imagine we’d be near the top.

Canada suggests your wager—a nonexistent, unprovable counterfactual—would be a loser. Its “relative geography” vis-a-vis Europe is huge (it’s 1.6% larger than the U.S.), yet its citizens are much better traveled than Americans (22% to 10+ countries vs. 11% here, and only 9% have never left Canada).

Fair point on, Canada. (Don’t think your interjection has much currency though.) I imagine most of the countries racked up by everyone in these stats are European countries.
