A truly phenomenal show, the way they write Batman and his foes is so earnest and human, honestly.

The entire VO crew is legendary. Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, and Arleen Sorkin are literal GOATs in their respective characters. So damn GOOD.
I remember it being on Cartoon Network about 25 years ago but I never watched it. I wasn't much into action shows. My wife bought show on Prime Video a year or so ago, and holy shit it was good. I'm very much not a DC fan, but it's wonderfully written and has that comic art style to suit the action.
I've never been a big superhero guy in general. I never watched Spider-Man or X-Men or Superman when I was little. Rewatching this is reminding me why this was the only one I got into. As a kid, I think I just wanted detective noir stuff with a little action adventure sprinkled in
The only exception is that I liked TMNT when I was little and grew up to like Guardians of the Galaxy. I think I like my superheros either really goofy or really serious and nothing in between 🤔
Hmm... considering my two favourite Marvel characters, my taste might be similar.
I do think Spider-Man The Animated Series and Spectacular Spider-Man are good shows, the former especially being a 90s super show kinda feels like it has some of that Batman TAS DNA. I'd recommend checking it out if you're curious
Yeah I own the blu ray amazing series best superhero show from the 90s and maybe beyond
i really do recommend giving the rest of DCAU (Superman and Justice League) a shot as well. they share a lot of the same crewmembers and writing is just as tight!
I'll try! After reviewing my list of faves, though, I just realized maybe I just have trouble connecting with characters with superpowers 🤔
possibly. but i think that's one of DCAU's biggest strengths, they humanize heroes and villains alike so much that you forget about their abilities sometimes.
I remember watching, like, the first three or so episodes of Young Justice years ago, they were pretty good ig. don't remember much, but yeah
wtf i was thinking about watching it too. I love it, but I don't think I ever finished season 1. Idk, I think the Black Cat two parter just didn't interest me
This show actually kind of ruined me. I spent the next thirty years being disappointed.
