I feel like becoming a crab at this point would definitely be a step up from... (Waves hands in the general direction of parliament)... Having to deal with whatever that asshattery is.

Scuttle is a very good word! I would like to scuttle like a delightful crab. (Specifically, scuttle the whole fuck away from humanity and just hang out with some mudskippers or something. 😂)
