We were in Leadville on Tuesday! That altitude is serious business – I can't imagine a bike race at that altitude! I needed a can of oxygen when we were at 12,000 feet in Rocky Mountain national Park

I hiked in the Canadian Rockies years ago, and even at a younger age and markedly less altitude, it was still pretty noticeable. I know athletes do altitude camps to acclimate, but even so, I can't imagine the stress that places on one's body!
