Yep. I've lived my entire life at sea level! Fortunately, my son and his partner anticipated I would need at least 24 to 36 hours to get used to it. So just taking it slow today but enjoying the cool weather – a welcome relief from the heat and humidity at home (Wilmington NC)
It is absolutely gorgeous here. 65° and clear – absolutely loving it. I'll love it more when my 65 year-old lungs get used to this altitude though😆
8/19/78: moving into my dorm at U of MD College Park for freshman yr- fun times! Joining you today from Granby, CO- this altitude is kicking my butt!! This was the peak altitude driving over the mountains into the valley where my son lives. Still 8000 ft and having to take it very slow today #AT40

It's been awful! I've lived in the Wilmington area for 15 years, and this is the hottest, most humid, most rainy summer I remember here
I lived with my grandparents in Somers Point every summer from 1969 to 1978. OC boardwalk was the best!

So many prescription meds don't mix well with heat/sun. The brain fog is just something to keep in mind when you're following up with your prescribing provider. Hopefully it is a transient side effect and you will be able to continue with it if it's helping you otherwise

It's not just the heat – it's just what Prozac does to some people. That was my experience with it in the mid 90s. Could only stand it for 60 days. Turns out, I was misdiagnosed and it wasn't going to help me anyway.
I used to see Frances and her identical twin sister, who was married to Willie, every Easter at the sunrise service on Wrightsville Beach. They are lovely people.
And I happily accept 😁

My dad, who had been a boxer in the Navy, took me and a few friends to see Rocky first week it came out. I remember being mesmerized by the movie and the music. I will never not think of Dad when I hear it ❤️
