I have never really realized this until this year. A character home got removed from a lot here and it sat abandoned for a couple years. Dogs would lose their mind in passing and I'd tell people there were rabbit poops, etc, all through the property. Well, it's being built now, so, that's over.
There was another lot, too, where I'd photographed stags eating, as a couple brothers would forage together, but that lot was a regular haunt for them, for puddles and grass. It, too, is now being developed. I mean, there's tons of nature around me and YET those spots were coveted by wildlife.
There are very few empty lots in my neighborhood, but they're where all the birds tend to congregate.
