I’m about to stop making myself finish an older memoir written by a music icon of the 60s & 70s. Looked for this book forever. Highly regarded. I hate it but I can’t start another fun book until this is done so I am giving myself permission to stop. Life is too short and there are so many books
Good for you! I fully support this decision. The only time I force myself to finish books I’m not enjoying is if they’re really important to my work—and then I’ll do a lot of skimming.
Once you're ok with that, you can start ditching the clunkers immediately

It’s…honestly I’m not sure what I think about it. With its cast I had high expectations I think. Definitely not something I want to watch again
